This group of characters was created for the book Gorrinho 2, written by João Pedro Roriz and published by Paulus Publishing this year. The main character, Gorrinho — the boy wearing a beret — was inspired by the author himself, as I designed his facial features to subtly resemble the writer’s own. For the other characters, I used a variety of photo references found online to achieve a diverse and expressive visual composition.
