Alien's Music

There are many ways to represent childhood and adolescence. In this composition, aliens were used as a symbol of how, at times during that phase, we feel like strangers among other boys and girls.
The theme also brings back other reflections of that phase, such as riding a soapbox cart — something deeply rooted in Brazilian culture — discovering electronic music, and cinema, which has always been one of my passions.
One day, at a wedding, while feeling anxious, I began sketching a few things — and that’s when the idea for this illustration and "Rock in the Jungle" was born.

Later, I transferred the idea to my sketchbook, completing the process using colored pencil techniques. I sought to use specific colors that would best match the style.

Finally, oil pastels were used to enhance the colors and texture.
